InternetGuard stands out as the only no-root firewall that combines all of these features in one application.
It might seem like InternetGuard uses an excessive amount of data; however, this is due to its unique operating method. The app utilizes your device's VPN package to create a firewall, routing all data packets sent or received by your apps through this VPN connection. Consequently, all incoming and outgoing data traffic is attributed to InternetGuard.
The positive aspect is that InternetGuard now includes its own Data Usage feature. This allows users to monitor data consumption for each individual app by selecting "Data Usage" on the home screen.
1.InternetGuard works by leveraging a VPN interface, the only viable option for implementing a firewall on non-root devices. It acts as a proxy between common applications and their servers. Importantly, it does not collect or send any data itself.
By setting up a secure firewall using a VPN, InternetGuard effectively monitors and manages inbound and outbound traffic for applications. With its added data usage tracking tool, users can gain insights into how much data each app consumes, enhancing overall control over their mobile data usage.
