Gameplay

Dungeon Makers merges turn-based combat strategy with tower defense mechanics. Players control various monsters summoned each turn to fend off attacks from castle knights, all while safeguarding the Dark Lord, who resides at the dungeon's center. Unlike traditional games where a dragon is often the antagonist, the Dark Lord in this game is uniquely depicted as a woman, leading her fierce female foes into battle.

The gameplay revolves around the central goal of protecting the Dark Lord from harm. If one of her followers is defeated, the dungeon closes permanently. Although the Dark Lord can withstand significant damage, she will eventually become vulnerable as her energy depletes. Thus, players are encouraged to devise creative defensive strategies.

The game features a 36-square map (3 vertical rows and 12 horizontal sections) where heroes approach the Dark Lord in structured formations. Similar to *Plants vs Zombies*, players must strategically place defenses and summon monsters to thwart the incoming heroes. Victory requires continuous adaptation; there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, so you’ll need to rethink your strategy after each defeat. Currently, two modes of play are available: Normal Mode and Total War.

Plot

In Dungeon Makers, devils live contentedly in their dungeons, largely unaffected by human affairs. The Dark Lord reigns over these demons and monsters with ease but must always be ready for war when humans invade. Despite disliking conflict, the Dark Lord has no choice but to prepare for inevitable encounters with invaders, who rush towards their doom, challenging the very darkness she commands.
