Add URLs to Your Read-at-Home List
Use the "readathome" command to save URLs, allowing you to access them conveniently when you return home, either on your phone or computer.
Alter Text Before Sharing
Share text using the "alter" command, modify it as desired, and then reshare it via another app through AutoShare.
Integrate Sharing Capabilities into Standalone Apps
Enable sending and receiving shared data for applications that operate independently.
Add Items to Your To-do List
Utilize the "todo" command to add any shared text directly to a task list managed by Tasker.
Share Reminders at Home
Set up a Wifi-connected profile linked to an AutoShare Task, so you will be reminded to share specific photos or content once you're home.
Note: The Lite version of AutoShare is limited to only receiving and sharing the text field. The full version is available for purchase within the app.
AutoShare allows you to add Tasker support to any application. You can perform various actions across an expanding number of apps using AutoShare intents. Additionally, you can utilize the regular Android share menu to send share information to Tasker.
To share using AutoShare:
1.Access the standard Android share menu.
2.Select AutoShare from the options.
3.The Subject, Text, or files will be sent to Tasker, where you can process them as needed.
When working with shared data in Tasker, several variables become available:
%assender
Identifies the sender app's package name (the app that shared to AutoShare).
%assubject
Contains the subject of the share.
%astext
Includes the text of the shared content.
%asfile1, %asfile2, %asfile3
, etc.: Paths to shared files, accessible in Tasker as an array named `%asfile`.
You can automate tasks in Tasker using the AutoShare command feature. For example, by creating a profile with a "copy" command, you can copy the text received (%astext) to the clipboard. When utilizing the AutoShare command, simply select "copy" from the dropdown menu to make the shared content available on your clipboard.
With AutoShare, you can also generate a personalized Android share menu from within Tasker featuring the subjects, texts, and images of your choice. Intercept shares meant for other apps and manipulate them within Tasker, allowing for dynamic usage of Tasker variables.
By leveraging these features and examples, you can significantly enhance your sharing capabilities on Android devices with AutoShare!
