The MIDI Voyager Pro supports any soundfont file in sf2 or sfz format, including compressed formats like WavPack or FLAC. The app comes bundled with a compact 3 MB soundfont that provides reasonable sound quality, making it a suitable starting point. However, it's recommended to use custom soundfonts for better quality. A popular free option is the Chorium (Revision A), weighing in at 27 MB, created by openwrld.
All loops, markers, instrument/track assignments, and user-specific settings are stored in a separate configuration file. Every time a MIDI file is loaded, the application will look for this settings file to ensure continuity.
