Introduction

Prepare to safeguard your fortress as you engage in epic battles against the formidable General Kranz. With a vast arsenal of armor and weapons at your disposal, strategize your way to victory while defending against relentless enemy attacks. REDCON is a Faster Than Light (FTL) game, promising heaps of fun and action.

Game Basics

Begin your journey by selecting your desired difficulty level: Easy, Normal, or Hard. Once you're geared up, the battle commences! The enemy fortress, highlighted in red, is your primary target. Attack it using your weapons and monitor your accuracy; for instance, an 80% hit likelihood indicates eight successful hits out of ten trials.

Both fortresses feature health indicators:

Green

Hit Points

Blue

Power

Orange

Ammunition

While your Power and Ammunition can be replenished, the game ends if your fortress's hit points drop to zero. You’ll also experience "quacks" from significant damage impacts.

Upgrades and Strategies

Enhance your weaponry for greater impact, considering that weapons with stronger effects require longer reload times. Strategically upgrade to reduce this time. Use active freeze time to pause the battle and repair any damaged items during intense moments.

Types of Victories

You can achieve three different types of victories based on your performance:

Takeover

Eliminate all enemy soldiers and destroy their firearms.

Annihilation

Kill 50% of the enemies and take out half of their guns.

Attrition

Focus on winning without prioritizing killing soldiers and destroying weapons.

Among these, Takeover yields the most rewards. Customize your fortress layouts and perks to enhance your chances of victory.

Rewards for Victory

As you conquer the rogue state of Krux, you earn new fortress layouts, medals, and perks that will aid you in your battles.

Fortress Army

Before betrayal struck, resource conflicts were central to the fight. Defend against civil war aggressors from your fortified positions. In this brutal war, survival is paramount; exercise caution in combat. Utilize your fortress to defeat foes vying for resources and control combat vehicles to protect your power. Fight back and fortify your defenses against invading forces.
