The Race Predictor allows runners to estimate their expected finish times based on previous race performances. By entering your time for one of the predefined race distances, the tool instantly calculates your predicted finish times for all other distances. For example, if you complete a local 5K in 25 minutes, you can find out how long it may take you to run a marathon. Available race distances for prediction include:
400m
800m
1k
1500m
1 mile
3k
5k
5 miles
10k
10 miles
Half Marathon
Marathon
The Pace Calculator is a versatile tool that helps runners compute their required pace for any given distance and target time. You can easily convert pace between different metrics (miles, kilometers, or 400m). This section is particularly useful for treadmill runners since you can input your running speed in kph, mph, or m/s.
Check your required pace for any distance.
Convert pace per mile, kilometer, or 400m.
Input custom distances alongside standard race distances.
With the Cadence Calculator, you can determine your stride length based on your running cadence. You can adjust either your stride length or cadence to see how they affect each other. For instance, if you complete a 5K in 20 minutes at a cadence of 180 steps per minute, this calculator can help you find out how far you cover with each stride. Aiming for around 180 steps per minute is recommended for average runners, while elite runners often achieve strides over 2 meters!
Age grading is available for distances such as 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. This feature allows you to compare your finishing time against world record times adjusted for age and gender, enabling fair comparisons across different demographics and racing distances.
The Elevation Calculator lets you assess the gradient of a hill or calculate elevation gain when running at a specific gradient. For example, if you run for 6 miles on a treadmill set to a 4% incline, this tool can help you determine the total elevation gain.
The BMI function provides insights into the healthy weight range for your height. While not applicable to every body type, it's a good starting point. Simply enter your height and weight (in lbs or kg) to receive your BMI score along with a reference guide. Users can opt to display or hide the BMI section from the pace calculator interface.
Utilize the Running Splits feature to strategize your race pacing. Select from standard distances (800m, 1500m, 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon) or a custom distance, enter your desired finish time, and the tool will display the necessary splits to reach your goal. You can configure these splits by kilometer, mile, 400m, or even in blocks of 5 kilometers or miles.
These tools are ideal for training for various distances, including 5K, half marathons, and marathons. If there are additional features you'd like to see, we'd love to hear your suggestions!
Happy Running!
