What is Not Working on Oreo & Pie (Stock) ROMs?

Certain notification text colors cannot be inverted. To address this, light notifications are set as the default for Oreo & Pie ROMs. However, a dark option remains available.

Theme Requirements and Limitations

Note: Applicable for Nougat OMS ROMs only.

The theme requires full Substratum OMS theme engine support on Android 7.1 AOSP ROMs. It will not function if you are using stock Samsung, stock LineageOS, Oxygen OS, or Omni Nougat-based ROMs.

Open the Substratum app, then tap on the PitchBlack tile to enable and build the overlays. If you have another theme applied, go to the overlay manager and disable all overlays before enabling PitchBlack. Don't forget to reboot your device!

PitchBlack supports any ROM that is compatible with Substratum.

Q: What if the theme receives an update?

A

Just build and enable it again to ensure you have the latest version.

Q: Does PitchBlack support theme-ready GApps?

Officially, it does not support them and is not recommended.

Calm down! Simply go to your preferred recovery and flash the substratum rescue zip located in the Substratum folder.
